How to support territorial planning across scales with modelling (ground)water dynamics to guide climate adaptation?
Dear colleagues of the BLUE TRANSITION project
Current water and climate policies in different countries are defined at different scales based on a European framework. In France, water management is thought and decided collectively at the scale of watersheds, then implemented in an operational manner on the scale of communities of municipalities such as Lorient Agglomération. How are these different policies organized? How do they align? What are the interactions to be built between these different scales? What is the role of research? So many fundamental questions that we will address in this 4th meeting of the BLUE TRANSITION project, which will take place in the premises of Lorient Agglomération.
The famous "policy evening" will be a "policy morning", where we will host prestigious guests who will testify to the functioning of these different French scales:
Mr. Dantec, Senator, Vice-President of the Committee on Regional Planning and Sustainable Development
Ms. Alexandre, Regional Advisor, Vice-President - Health, water and biodiversity
Mr. Le Délézir President of the local water commissions of the Gulf of Morbihan
Mr. Pichon, President of the Blavet local water commission
Mr. Loher, President of Lorient Agglomération
Ms. Nicolas, Vice President in charge of the environment, risk management, natural spaces
Together, with the partners of the BLUE TRANSITION project, politicians and managers, we will reflect on better defining the different stages to build more resilient territories.
We will also address the subject of uncertainties, a fundamental concept which must be understood, shared and reduced to support the decision
